Privacy policy

This policy explains what Parazit Games collects on parazitgames.com and through its newsletter, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we only keep the email address you give us for news, we use no tracking cookies, and you can leave at any time.

Who we are

Parazit Games is a sole proprietorship run by Fatih Cebeci in Istanbul, Türkiye. We are the data controller for the data described here. Write to contact@parazitgames.com about anything in this policy.

The newsletter

When you sign up we store:

• your email address,
• the language of the page you signed up on,
• the date and time you signed up, the page you used and which version of the consent text you agreed to.

We do not store your IP address, name or any other personal data with your sign-up. We use your address only to send news about our games, for example when a store page opens, when a demo comes out and on launch day. We send a few emails a year and never sell or share the list for anyone else's marketing.

We process this data because you consented to it (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; Article 5 of Türkiye's Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, KVKK). You can withdraw your consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to us. Withdrawing does not affect what happened before.

Who helps us

• Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website and the database that holds the sign-up list.
• Kit (ConvertKit LLC, United States) sends the newsletter emails and handles unsubscribes.

Both may store data outside Türkiye and the European Union, including in the United States. You agree to this transfer abroad when you sign up, and you can withdraw that consent the same way.

How long we keep it

We keep your sign-up until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After that we delete it within 30 days, except a record that you unsubscribed, which we keep so we never email you by mistake.

Visiting the website

This site sets no cookies and uses no advertising or tracking tools. Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks. We may count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you.

Our games

This policy covers the website and the newsletter. Our games will come with their own privacy information before they are released.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, get a copy, object to its use or withdraw your consent. Write to contact@parazitgames.com and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, if you live in the EU, to your local data protection authority.

Children

The newsletter is for people aged 16 or over.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email address, we will tell subscribers before it applies.
